Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ERP is effective for anxiety disorders like OCD and social anxiety. It involves gradually exposing individuals to anxiety-triggering situations or thoughts while preventing avoidance or compulsive responses, reducing fear and anxiety over time.

Goal: To confront fears in a controlled, gradual way, resist compulsive behaviors or avoidance, reduce anxiety, and build emotional resilience, gaining tools to manage anxiety in real-life situations.
